Introduction


Throughout his career, Marc has been an active member of his Inn, having been Secretary of the Middle Temple Hall Committee for over 10 years. He is a founder member of Middle Temple Advocacy originally under the directorship of the late Michael Sherrard, C.B.E., Q.C. and a regular sponsor and trainer of students at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor Great Park.

Civil Law


Advocacy in a wide range of cases from Licensing matters, simple debt actions, contested insurance claims, including personal injury, road traffic claims and credit hire cases in the High Court and County Court. Well versed in the many complexities of credit hire law and part of the Chambers credit hire team.

Family Law

Often dealing with vulnerable clients seeking protection from domestic violence as well as Private law (children) and ancillary matters including residence and contact.

Direct Access

Registered to take work on a direct access basis from professional bodies and persons other than solicitors as well as, in suitable cases, from members of the public.

For many years, Marc was a regular contributor to Butterworth’s titles in the series "Atkin's Court Forms", subjects including Auction, Bailment and Trespass to the Person.

Personal Interests


Marc is Secretary of the Old Westminster Citizens’ Association and a Trustee of the Old Westminster Citizens’ Jubilee Trust Fund, as well as formerly a Governor of Peterborough School, Fulham.

Marc’s main passions beyond the Bar are vintage transport and choral music. Marc has been a member of Cobham Bus Museum and the Friends of the London Transport Museum for many years. He is also Parish Secretary of St. Andrew’s Church, Fulham Fields as well as its Choir Librarian, having organised highly successful choir tours as far apart as Dublin and New York. In 2014 he was a founder member of the Bar Choral Society under the leadership of Tim Dutton, C.B.E., Q.C.
