King’s Bench Chambers is a modern set of barristers’ chambers based in the thriving town of Bournemouth. KBC was established in 1996 by a core of senior London barristers who saw the potential of a set that serviced Dorset and the surrounding counties. KBC rapidly grew as its work and client base expanded and it was soon clear that its range would be nation wide. As a result we recruited experienced practitioners from other parts of the country.
KBC now has both a significant local presence and national reach. Members of Chambers regularly appear in courts throughout all the Circuits of England and Wales. Our enthusiastic embrace of IT for communication with clerks and clients means that members are now able to live from Dorset to Lancashire and Herefordshire to Norfolk thus providing an efficient service to both local and distant solicitors.
KBC is a mixed common law set, with particular expertise in civil and family disputes and criminal proceedings. KBC provides a comprehensive service covering cases in Magistrates Courts to the most complex High Court or Court of Appeal cases.
Members of Chambers are pleased to accept instructions to draft pleadings, advices and other documents. In urgent cases a round the clock advisory service can be provided.
KBC has the benefit of the services of several barristers who have a wide experience of employment both inside and outside the law and are able to bring these experiences to practice at the Bar.
Clients are welcome to attend conferences with counsel in our modern premises that are well suited to those with disabilities. Alternatively members of Chambers are willing to travel for conferences at solicitor’s offices, if that is more convenient for the lay or professional client.
All of us at KBC pride ourselves on providing a friendly, efficient and prompt service to solicitors and lay clients. So if we can be of assistance please contact our experienced clerking team who will be happy to help.
