Former Solicitor and KBC Pupil starts her second six on 3rd June

Nicola McIntosh

Nicola was admitted as a solicitor in 1995 and was called to the Bar in 2007. In practice she was a specialist in personal injury. In her early years she represented Claimants as she was a solicitor at Pannone and Alexander Harris. Her experience encompasses RTA ,EL, PL, including brain injury cases. Whilst at Alexander Harris she worked as part of the team representing the families of the victims of Harold Shipman. She was involved with co-ordinating the Inquests of the Group B victims and dealing with the early stages of the Public Inquiry. During this time she was interviewed live on Channel 4 news by Jon Snow.

In 2002 Nicola joined Keoghs LLP and worked within the Counter-Fraud department.
Her work consisted of alleged frauds committed by individuals involved in road traffic accidents. The fraudsters targeting insurance companies. She has dealt with cases that have been said to be staged/ contrived, involve bogus passengers low velocity impact, and exaggerated damage. She obtained the first judgment against individuals brought by an insurance company in the tort of deceit arising out of a fraudulent road traffic claim. Sabre Insurance v Ali 2005.

Nicola is currently a pupil at Kings Bench Chambers. Her training includes Family and Crime. On completion of pupillage Nicola intends to develop a practice in Civil, including personal injury, Family and Crime.

Nicola begins her second six on the 3rd June 2008.
