Susan is a transferring Solicitor – admitted on 15.09.1993. Before coming to the Bar, Susan practised under the name of Susi Poole, initially locally in Private Practice and then for 10 years as a Senior Solicitor with Bournemouth Borough Council.

During her time with the Local Authority, Susan had extensive experience of all aspects of Social Care Litigation, including:

• Public Law Childcare/Child Protection
• Wardship
• Child Abduction
• Disabled Children
• Mental Health
• Declaratory Relief
• Adult Social Services
• Vulnerable Adult Protection
• Judicial Review
• Training for Social Workers, including Court Skills, Childcare and Vulnerable Adult Protection courses.

Whilst in Private Practice, Susan dealt with most aspects of general litigation, although predominantly family and crime.
