Clinical negligence and personal injury 


KBC has a very extensive experience in all aspects of clinical negligence and personal injury work.

KBC handles large quantities of personal injury work from Fast Track to Multi-track. Barristers have experience of litigating in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Barristers in the Civil Team are experienced in all forms of Personal Injury litigation, RTA, Accidents at Work, Repetitive Strain and Stress at Work claims, Occupier’s Liability and Product Liability, Highways Accidents, Actions against Landlords, and Sports injuries.

Clinical Negligence cases require careful consideration of expert evidence and members can assist in advising as to the necessary experts to meet the needs of the case.

An experienced barrister is invariably available to provide friendly telephone advice to solicitors on all aspects of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury work.

KBC barristers will undertake appropriate work on a Conditional Fee basis.

Property and Landlord and Tenant 


KBC undertakes a wide range of property and landlord and tenant litigation. Barristers are happy to advise upon and draft proceedings in Land law involving boundary disputes, easements, enforceability of Covenants and errors in conveyancing.

Barristers in the civil team can assist with all aspects of private and business tenancy litigation including possession actions, disrepair claims, breaches of tenancy agreements and actions for wrongful distraint.

Contractual and building disputes 


Barristers handle all forms of contractual litigation, including building litigation.

Professional negligence, commercial and probate 


Within the civil and commercial team, barristers have particular specialisations and undertake actions for all forms of professional negligence involving architects, surveyors, valuers, solicitors and other professionals.

Experienced barristers in the team are available to give urgent advice as to pre-emptive injunctive relief in commercial matters.

Probate litigation is a growing area of KBC’s business and barristers can advise on the validity of wills, rectification and revocation claims, incapacity and undue influence claims.

Credit hire

KBC is fortunate to be instructed by a large number of national solicitors involved in credit hire litigation and has a dedicated team specialising in this area of law throughout the country. KBC welcomes instructions in small claims, fast track and multi-track litigation in this area of law.

Employment

The employment team deals with all aspects of employment law for individuals, trade unions, and employer clients alike, covering discrimination, unfair dismissal, equal pay, redundancy, transfer of undertakings, wages claims wrongful dismissal working time part-time and fixed term contract regulations, drafting of contracts of employment/staff handbooks and employment mediation.
